Governments just don’t seem to listen to protests

Politicians lunch in first class restaurants while ordinary citizens are having mac and cheese

To the Expositor:

I was watching Canada AM and this person comes on talking about the end of protest, that it does not seem to work. I have been observing these protests and they do not work, especially when it has to do with financial equality. Governments just do not listen.

People who are living on fixed incomes are usually getting hit hard because of inadequate incomes and these incomes never catch up to the cost of living. The only way these protests would work is when they are very well organized. To keep disrupting economic growth or even stopping it for a day, believe me, it’s probably the only way these governments will start listening. Even if the country is in deficit, do not feel sorry for them. This is their own doing because of mismanagement of the finances. They are the ones who should be paying for their mistakes, not the citizens, but citizens are always bailing them out for their mistakes. They have to be taught a lesson for their own doing. This has to stop; citizens are struggling to live in this country while these politicians are living it up in style at the taxpayers’ expense. They’re probably having lunches and dinners at a first class restaurant, but the ordinary citizens are having macaroni and cheese, or spaghetti for their meals, maybe even worse meals, all because their income is going to the cost of paying bills, hydro, heating bills. I have never seen so much evil before, it’s getting worse, and it is the government’s fault.
