GLEN DAVIS CANNARD

In loving memory of Glen Davis Cannard who passed away peacefully at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the age of 85. Glen was born to Noah John Cannard and Mary Rebecca “Dolly” (nee Thompson) on July 7, 1926 in Rockville, Manitoulin. Survived by his beloved wife Margaret “Jean” (nee Clarke). Loved by sons Blaine (Donelda), John (Melanie), Tom (Angie), and daughter Glena-Jean Roy (Mike). Cherished by grandchildren Melissa Roy, Laurie Maybee, Evan Roy, Alex, David, Alison, Gordon, Jason-Lee, Jennavieve and Abbie Cannard, as well as by great-grandchildren Brendan Pinand, Tristan, Mason, and Tanner Golder (Noah Golder and Bennett-Chadlen Roy, both predeceased), Britny, Paul and Christopher Maybee, Ethan Cannard, and Georgia and Joey Roy. Will be missed by sister Joy Hopkin (husband Lloyd predeceased). Predeceased by Mary Jean Bates and husband Harold, D.O. (David Orion) Cannard and wife Sara. Will be remembered by sister-in-law Lois Marshall and husband Jeff. A private service was held at the Sheguiandah United Church with Rev. Faye Stevens officiating. Burial of ashes in Elmview Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Manitoulin Pet Save are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
