George Edward (Ted) Willis of Sheguiandah passed away peacefully at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the age of 74. Born to George and Florence Willis (both predeceased) on June 11, 1939. Survived by wife Maria; his children Laura Lee Yost, Cheryl Amyotte, Jamey (Susan) Willis; his grandchildren Becky and Paul Lee, Miranda Amyotte, Brett and Cody Willis, T.J. Yost; and his sister Joyce (Wayne) Kerr. Predeceased by brother Harold. Ted loved horses. He was the proud breeder of purebred Haflinger stock. His brood mare operation produced over 125 foals. Visitation was from 7 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Funeral was at 3 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2013; all at Island Funeral Home. Burial at Elmview Cemetery.
