In loving memory of George Alfred Newman Trimmer, 74 years, who passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Anne (Trueman) Trimmer. Loving father of Michael Trimmer, Sheila Trimmer-Noel, Christopher Trimmer (wife Tara). Cherished grandfather of Megan, Maxine, Dayna, A.J., Krista, Katrina and great-grandfather of Ryleigh, Noah and Cecilea. Special son to John and Florence Newman predeceased. Dear brother of William Trimmer (wife Helen), Gary Trimmer (wife Julie), Mary Ruth Brunet (husband Richard), Dale Trimmer and Elsie Newman predeceased. Dear brother-in-law to Cathy and Andy Pearson. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. George worked at the Copper Refinery for 34 years retiring as a supervisor in 1991. An avid outdoorsman George enjoyed hunting and fishing. He particularly spent many happy times at his trailer on Marten River where he was the host for the park. A man of great faith he belonged to the Church of the Ascension where he actively participated in the parish ministries and outreach. George embodied Christ’s teachings of being a Good Samaritan and Good Shepherd to all he met. He can echo the words of St. Paul “I have finished my course I have kept the faith”. God Bless you George! Funeral Service was in Church of the Ascension, 1476 Sparks Street, Sudbury on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:30 am. Friends gathered after 10 am on Monday, December 10, 2012. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of the Ascension Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated.
