In loving memory of Gabriel Joseph Wahsquonaikezhik who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the age of 54. Predeceased by parents Margaret (nee Corbiere) and John Wahsquonaikezhik. Survived by his children Robyn, Joel, Jeffery, Jenni-Lee, Ashlee, Nicholas and Waupunuke and twenty grandchildren. Brother of Theresa Haswood (Tully), Christina Sinobert (Cecil), Bernadette Recollet (Stanley predeceased), Josette Wahsquonaikezhik (Brad predeceased), Jean Debassige, Ernest (Annette), Francis (Beverly), Luke (Tara), Christopher, Tina McCurley (Ken). Predeceased by sisters and brother Rita, Annette, Bertha, Celina, Patricia, Ida and Adam. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Gabriel enjoyed spending time with his two youngest children and granddaughter. His favourite hobbies were fishing, carving pipes and visiting with his close friends and family members. He really enjoyed joking around with others. Visitation was from 6 pm Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Whitefish River Community Centre. Funeral Service was at 11 am on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at St. Gabriel Lalement Church, Birch Island. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the family.
