Freda May Farquhar

A resident of Little Current, Freda May Farquhar, died peacefully at Manitoulin Centennial Manor on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the age of 89. Born to Edna Graham and Arthur Elliot in Kagawong, Billings Township on May 10, 1925. Beloved wife of (late) John Farquhar. Loved mother of John E. “Jack” (Darlene) of Gravenhurst, Margaret “Peggy” (Gerry) Green of Little Current, Michael (Marilyn) of Kagawong, Stephen (Margaret) of North Bay, daughter-in-law Georgina Farquhar of Espanola. Proud grandmother of Christopher, Michael, Philip, Shana, Brock, Stephen, Erica, Jennifer, Aaron, Evan, Amy, Geoffrey, Terry, Ryan, Jamie, Christopher and Andrew. Survived by 28 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Douglas, daughter Nancy Jane and grandson Patrick. As per the family’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside ash burial committal service will be held at a later date at the Mountainview Cemetery.
