FRANK PETER CADA September 28, 1956 – April 22, 2023 In loving memory of Frank Peter Cada who passed away April 22, 2023. Parents Angus Cada (predeceased) and Georgina Cada. Loved by siblings Albert (Debbie predeceased) (Robin Malley), Bertha (predeceased) (Cliff McKinley), Verna (Bill Hardwick), Marie (John McLeod predeceased), Nancy, Randolph (Tammy Pitawanakwat), Ann (Mark O’Bumsawin), Grace (Morley Mclean), Marilyn (Jim King-Séguin) and Joan Elaine (Mike Kearney). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews and his close cousin Deborah Pitawanakwat who spent many hours visiting. Frank started his career at Denison Mine in 1976, after high school graduation. He worked at Denison for 17 years until it closed. He pursued a welding program in Sault Ste. Marie and acquired his welding ticket. Frank returned home to Sheshegwaning First Nation in 1994 as a maintenance/foreman along with operating the water treatment plant. He finished his career as Director of Plant and Operations. He retired at the age of 65. Frank also was a loyal Legion member of Gore Bay since he was 18 years of age, following in his father’s footsteps. He enjoyed his free time and always made sure he took care of our mother’s well-being. He mostly enjoyed his outdoor adventures on his quad or side-by-side on his own or family outings. He will be deeply missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had an infectious smile, laugh and a great sense of humour. Frank was a kind, compassionate and caring person. Friends and family gathered at the Sheshegwaning Complex for visitation on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 4 pm. The funeral service was on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11 am. Cremation followed.
