FRANCES JOY NEVILLS
July 5, 1929 – February 29, 2024
Joy was born in Milton to Frank and Charlene (Wilson) Johnson. She met her future husband, Neil Nevills, who grew up at Green Bay, Manitoulin Island, at Milton District High School. They married in 1949. His job took them to Ottawa and Kingston before they finally settled in Kitchener in 1960. Together the couple raised six children: Ann (Paul McInnis), Lynn (Martin Judge), Nancy (Joe MacDonald), Dave (Beth), Carole (Jamie Hooper) and Bill (Lesley). The family has also been blessed with ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Joy worked for Sears in Kitchener for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler and puzzle enthusiast but her real passion was travel. Through his job, Neil and Joy were able to see the world. Joy was predeceased by husband Neil (2006) and sisters Mary (Stan) Price and Joan (Ray) Waters. Arrangements entrusted to Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau, ON.
