First order of business for any government is lowering costs

To the Expositor:

Well, citizens of Ontario will be heading to the polls this spring. Citizens need to act now and start demanding that whoever wins the office should first fix the problem of skyrocketing hydro bills, gas and heating oil. These are the two major factors for financial problems for citizens and especially for people who are living on fixed incomes—economic gains can come later.

Put that aside for now because economic gains do not happen overnight. It takes time. So how are the citizens going to get through this if they do not fix the problem with high cost of hydro, gas and heating oil as it also affects our grocery bills.

The high cost of fuel gas tax has to be lowered and home heating oil and the citizens have the right to enforce this on their MPs. These people are working for you, they’re not working for the corporations or industrial companies and if the conservatives win I hope it will be a minority government. They will not have too much power to do as they wish. They can not be trusted because they’re like the Republicans, they only back up the rich.
