Kinds of soil health-related projects that may be eligible for funding under CAP
Under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP), launched in April 2018, a number of soil and water stewardship initiatives were included. Producers, organizations, regional collaborations, agriculture community influencers, advisors and Indigenous communities are encouraged to apply for funding. Program funds will also be targeted to businesses and organizations working to improve soil health and water quality through education and training, adoption of best management practices, applied research and demonstration projects.
