MANITOULIN—There are markets galore to be had on Saturday, October 19.

Over 50 vendors will take part in the Fall Market at the Providence Bay Arena on Saturday, October 19, from 10 am till 3 pm.

“I started the Fall Market in the midst of COVID,” said Delray McCarthy, owner of Eenvoudig Boutique, “and I’ve been the organizer since then.” In promoting the Fall Market, Eenvoudig Boutique’s website explains, “(We’re) bringing small micro businesses together for one amazing market. You will find handmade goods, food, home décor, clothing, baked goods and so much more.”

Many of the popular vendors from the summer markets around the island will be there: We Have the Wood, Manitoulin Candles and Things, Rivermist Designs, Get Stuffed, Holmes Sweet Holmes, and Crow Leather. Stone Ridge Lavender will have a booth and so will Kagawong Crate Company, Blue Jay Farm and Rainbow Farm North. There will be tasty treats from JQ Jellies, Kendra’s Confections, Sunset Gourmet and Carlisle’s Christmas Cakes. Photographer Craig Jackson will be there, as well as author David Wickenden. There will be clothing: She’s Got Leggz Manitoulin by Brandy and Eenvoudig Boutique; pottery; Wayne Malleau and glassware; Tays Glass and, as advertised, so much more.

At the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation in M’Chigeeng, a Fall Market will take place from 10 am to 3 pm. Vendors are welcome! To book a table please call (705)377-4902.
