In loving memory of Ethel Bowerman, a resident of Mindemoya, who died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current site on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She was born on Cockburn Island to the late Gordon and Jean (Wilaton) Nichols. Ethel was a housewife and a proud member of the United Missionary Church. She loved reading Louis L’amour Westerns and detective novels. She loved playing euchre, cribbage and king pedro. She was a long time member of the Rockville Women’s Institute. Ethel was predeceased by her beloved husband Grant in 2003. Loving mother of Clifford (Hollis) of Sault Ste. Marie, Frank (Evelyn) of Tilsonburg, Betty-Jean (Roman) Bruzas of Sault Ste. Marie, Blake (Maria) of Tilsonburg, Randy (Ann), Mark, Mervyn (Sara) and Murray all of Mindemoya and Edith (Richard) Pepper of Chesley. Survived by 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Norman and James Nichols of Sault Ste. Marie and predeceased by 10 other siblings. Friends visited at the Culgin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 10 am until 12 noon. A graveside committal service was held at 2:20 pm at the Mindemoya Cemetery, Reverend Ray Kloetstra officiating.
