Espanola String of Mischiefs: Seeking information from the public

The Espanola Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance regarding information on a string of mischiefs that have occurred in the past week.

Rainbow Concrete on Mead Blvd has been targeted 3 times in the last week. Industrial vehicles were targeted with damage to windows and graffiti. Entry was made to building on the property and industrial chemicals and agents were spilled onto the floor. The interior of the building was damaged with graffiti.

Further in the area of Parchment Street several vehicles were damaged.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Espanola Police Service at 705-869-3251 or the Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers 705-222-TIPS (8477).

Espanola Police would like to remind you that under the Child and Family Services Act of Ontario any youth under the age of 16 years old is NOT permitted out from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM unless accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years. The police have the power to apprehend the child and bring them to a safe place.

Further, under the Town of Espanola Bylaw 1238-97 no one is permitted in a park or other town properties from 12:01 AM until 06:00 AM and can be lawfully removed and charged under the Trespass To Property Act of Ontario.
