Emily Isabel Green

October 3, 1929 – November 1, 2012

In loving memory of Emily Green, a resident of the Centennial Manor, Little Current, who died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Friday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 83 years. She was born in British Columbia, daughter of the late James and Pauline (Smith) Munro. Emily had taught school for a number of years, in Vineland and lastly in Gore Bay. She had worked at the T. Eaton Company in Toronto, and in 1956 came to Manitoulin when she married Harold. She was a dedicated worker in her community, serving on many committees, such as the library board, Friends of the Museum and the Parks and Recreation committee. Emily was a faithful supporter of St. Paul’s on the Hill United Church. Emily was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold on July 14, 2009. Loving and loved mother of Ellen Dark (Don) of Sarnia, John Green of Kitchener-Waterloo, Sharon and Craig Jackson of Kagawong and Alexis and partner Charlene Harradine of Ottawa. Proud grandmother of Erica and Alina. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Russell and sisters Katherine and Margaret. A private family committal service will take place at Kagawong Cedars Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Manitoulin Health Centre or the Centennial Manor would be appreciated.
