In loving memory of Elizabeth Ense, a resident of M’Chigeeng, passed away at the Mindemoya Hospital on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the age of 78 years. She was born in M’Chigeeng, daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Wassegijig) Shogga. A truly loving mother and wife, Elizabeth will be remembered for her devotion to her family, raising her children and looking after and caring for each of them. With a large family, each child had chores to do around home. Elizabeth had many activities to keep her busy, such as quilting, crocheting, cooking, baking, preserving, weaving, spinning wool, sewing and rug making. She will be sadly missed but many wonderful memories will be cherished. Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward in July 1977. Loving and loved mother of Molly (Victor) Migwans, Don, Stewart (Linda), Gary, Shirley, Thomas (Sharon), Bernard (Sandra), Wilfred, John (Lisa), Brenda (Kirk) and Catherine. Proud grandmother of 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Angeline Corbiere (predeceased) and Ida Jawan Shogga of Toronto. Will be missed by nieces and nephews Tim, Alan, Yvonne, Charlene, Lisa, David, James, Debbie (predeceased), Michelle and their families. Friends and relatives called at the M’Chigeeng Community Complex after 3 pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. The funeral service to celebrate Elizabeth’s life was conducted at the Complex on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11 am with Mr. Eric Nicholson officiating. Interment in M’Chigeeng Cemetery.
