In Loving Memory of Edwin Russel Bond “Ed”, he died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre on Tuesday, May 7. 2019 at the age of 81. Born on July 31, 1937 to Mildred (nee Rowe) and Jim Bond of Little Current (both predeceased). Will be forever missed by his beloved wife Gwen (nee Sheppard). Devoted sons and daughters Bart Bond, Greg Bond (wife Pam), Carey Bond (wife Denise), Lorrie Bond-Stephens (husband Dan) and Mark Bond (wife Jan). He cherished his grandchildren Ben, Rebecca, Nic, Hope, Joel, Ariel, Cody and Connor and was great-grandfather of Joey and Harper. Dear brother of Jim Bond (predeceased) (wife Freida), Len Bond (wife Eleanor) (both predeceased), Morris Bond (predeceased), Gerry Bond (wife Lois). Dear brother-in-law of Charles (Marion) Sheppard, Goldie (Cyril) Taylor, Ron (predeceased) Carol Sheppard and Sandra (Merwyn) Sheppard. Ed was a man of many hats. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and visits from his family and friends. Visitation from 7 pm to 9 pm Saturday, May 18 at Island Funeral Home. Funeral Service 1pm Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Little Current United Church. Burial at Coldsprings Cemetery. Donations to Little Current United Church or Manitoulin Health Centre Auxilary.
