EDWARD “TED” JAMES BROWN September 25, 1941 – February 7, 2023 In loving memory of Edward “Ted” James Brown who passed away suddenly at Health Sciences North on February 7, 2023 at the age of 81. Born to the late Percy and Leona (nee Sloan) Brown of Mindemoya. He is predeceased by the love of his life Marian (nee King). Loving father of Jane (Keith), Gary (Miriam), Ron (Debbie) and Roger (predeceased)(Danielle). Cherished grandpa of Jason (Lisa), Heidi (Derek), James (Bethany), Joshua (Sarah), Kayla (Matt), Zachery (Alessia) and Carson. Proud great-grandpa of Karissa, Owen, Cole, Kaden and Caroline. Predeceased by siblings Con, Rita, Betty and Vivian. Ted will be missed by sister-in-law Shirley, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Ted devoted 53 years of his life to Manitoulin Transport as a truck driver and operations manager. He loved and owned horses over the years as a member of Standardbred Canada. His family was most important to him, he would facilitate reunions, travel long distances to hockey tournaments and was always being generous to a fault. Family and friends gathered at Island Funeral Home for visitation on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm. There will be a private burial in Mindemoya Cemetery in the spring.
