The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 54 years. Beloved husband of Marthe (née Lelièvre) Pickard of Hanmer. Loving father of Angèle Thompson (Denis) and Gilles. Beloved son of Austin and Beverley (née Johnstone) Pickard of Manitoulin Island. Dear brother of Mary Webb (Kevin) and Tammy Aube (Shawn). Predeceased by his brother Danny (Carol). He will be missed by many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Ted was an avid outdoorsman and bow hunter. He was a member of the Ontario Federation of Hunters and Anglers. He was a man of many talents and a father and husband at heart. The family received relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4570 St-Joseph Street, Hanmer, on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10:30 am at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse. As expressions of sympathy, donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
