Earle Robert Gilmore

July 15, 1939 – October 29, 2012

He was born at Listowel, son of the late Robert Stanley and Mary Isabella (Carson) Gilmore. He was a member of Gore Bay Masonic Lodge, and was very active in his community. Earle had worked for the CNR for 11 years before moving to Manitoulin to start a construction business, building and renovating houses. Earle enjoyed hunting, country music, old cars and he loved to ‘putter’. His greatest pleasure, next to his family, was travelling and camping. He and Carol visited many places across the country in the ‘POSSM VN’. Many happy memories will be cherished by his loving family, and by all who knew him. Earle was a quiet sort of man, but loved by all who knew him. Earle is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Turton) Gilmore. Loving and loved father of Jeff of Spring Bay and Tim and Becky of Espanola. Proud grandfather of Mackenzie, Jonah and Zachary. Earle will be sadly missed by his extended family, Lila Sloss and Hurbie, and also survived by Becky Gilmore of Spring Bay. Dear brother of Don and his wife Carol of New Hamburg. Predeceased by brother Jim and his wife Sherrie. Will be missed by nephews Mike (Darolyn) and Jamie and nieces Mary Sue, Jackie and Shelley. Earle will also be missed by Carol╒s siblings, Sharon and Harry Lines, Joan and Larry Hamilton, Bill and Shirley Turton, Wray and Carol Turton and Bruce and Linda Turton all of Palmerston, Wayne and Linda Turton of Kitchener, Gloria Cameron (husband Jack predeceased) of Listowel, Margaret and Bruce Shaw of Fergus and Dave and Pam Turton of Harriston.
