Drug trafficking results in the arrest of three people

SUDBURY- On March 4th 2014 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Greater Sudbury Police Service observed persons engage in drug trafficking from a parked motor vehicle. Officers attended the vehicle and arrested three persons. Search incident to arrest located Fentanyl strips, cannabis cigarettes and Canadian currency.

Following the arrest a search warrant was executed at an Azilda residence associated to two of the three persons. In the residence, officers located fentanyl patches, marihuana, cannabis resin and Canadian currency.

A 28 year old male and a 24 year old female are in police custody pending a bail hearing on many charges including:

• Trafficking a Controlled Substance: Fentanyl Patches.
• Possession of a Controlled Substance: Cannabis.
• Possession of a Controlled Substance: Cannabis Resin.
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Also a 24 year old male is also in custody pending a bail hearing on the following charges:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance: Fentanyl Patches.
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Total of drugs seized have a street value of $920.00.

Total cash seized is $6945.00.
