Drug trafficking charges laid in M’Chigeeng

M’CHIGEENG–On Monday, December 15, 2014 at approximately 3:30 pm, UCCM Anishnaabe Police received a call from a concerned resident that a female subject had offered to sell her drugs. Police obtained a description of the suspect and location. Officers attended the location on Highway 551 in M’Chigeeng and located the suspect, an arrest was made and a quantity of cannabis resin was located on the accused.

As a result of the investigation approximately five grams of cannabis resin (hash oil) was seized with an approximate street value of $100.

A 30-year-old female of Wikwemikong has been charged with possession of a Schedule II

Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Under 3 kg, and is scheduled to appear in Gore Bay Court on January 26, 2015.
