Driving under suspension charge

On May 4th, 2017 at approximately 5:22 pm, an officer with the Espanola Police Service was conducting traffic enforcement, and stopped a motor vehicle for investigation.  The investigation revealed that the male driver was currently suspended from driving, and that he also has never been licenced to driver a motor vehicle.

As a result of this investigation, the 41 year old Sheshegwaning resident was charged for the offence of Drive Under Suspension.  He will appear in Espanola court on June 8th, 2017 to answer to the charge.  The involved vehicle was also impounded for a period of 45 days, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act regulations.
