Dorothy May Patterson (nee Haggith) of Mindemoya passed away in her eightieth year on January 21, 2015 in the Mindemoya Hospital following a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Patterson in 1999 and is survived by sons Robert (Kathy) of British Columbia, David (Justine) of Little Current, daughter Heather Maier, granddaughter Neoma Sampson and grandson Jayson Kowalsky, both of British Columbia, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the last in her family and was predeceased by brothers Stanley, George and Jim and by sister Elsie Brownlee. Dorothy was born in Newbury in Southwestern Ontario, the youngest in the family of the late Wellington and Jessie (Tidley) Haggith. Her brothers developed an early love for Manitoulin that led Dorothy and Ron to retire in Mindemoya in the 1980s. She enjoyed her friends and neighbours, euchre parties and, until last year, a busy social life. At Dorothy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation.
