With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Don Chilton of Bayfield on December 7, 2013 in his 81st year. Beloved husband for 58 years of Joyce (Sagle), dearest father and father-in-law of Deri (Clare) Russell, Serena (Bobby) Snell and Chanda McCaw and Willy Henderson. Proud Grandpa to Jade, Jordan, Justyne, Bailey, Keith and Kevin. Predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Luby Chilton and his sister Jean Rubin. Also fondly remembered by his in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Don moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario from Saskatchewan as a boy. He worked for Ontario Hydro his entire career which brought him to Bayfield in 1977 where he spent his retirement years. A Memorial Service will be held on Manitoulin Island during the summer of 2014. In lieu of flowers donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation at www.hpha.ca or something near to Don’s heart, the Bayfield Lions Club will be accepting donations for a future Bayfield Dog Park.
