DANNY NADEAU

DANNY NADEAU
Danny Nadeau, a resident of Gore Bay, passed away suddenly with his best friend and loving wife Kaye by his side at his happy place on Barrie Island on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born in Espanola, son of Leo and Anne Nadeau (predeceased). Danny will be sadly missed by his sons, Mike (Kim), Dave (Stacey), brother Ronnie (Simone), brother-in-law Joe (Sue) Merrylees, Bob (Connie) Merrylees, sister-in law Jean (Mike) Gibbs and Barb Middaugh (Jean). Predeceased by Jim and Kal Merrylees, Steve Middaugh, Auntie Claire and Uncle Adam. Gramps/Poppa will be forever missed by his five grandchildren, Caelen (Sam), Kristen, Nathan, Tyler, Camden and many special nieces and nephews. Danny liked to say that he had been retired for over 50 years; the day he and Kaye moved back to Manitoulin! His love of family and the outdoors was unparalleled. He also loved his second family; members of the 1/2 Chance Hunt Club. Famous for asking “I wonder what the millionaires are doing?,” as he drove his four-wheeler on his hunting property. Danny always had a smile on his face and never sweated the small things. The family asks everyone to raise their glass and have a “SNAPPER,” in memory of a truly happy and kind man. Visitation was held at the Simpson Funeral Home on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm, where the funeral was held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Gore Bay Rotary Club (Gore Bay Medical Centre) or the Angel Bus, and may be made through SimpsonFuneralHome.ca.
