MINDEMOYA—Board members of Community Living Manitoulin (CLM) attending the organization’s monthly meeting were delighted to receive a donation in support of the accessibility vehicle project. There were two cheques presented to board president Spencer Kenney, each for $1,500. Geoff Corbiere, past owner of Easy Building Products of Hensall, was on hand along with John Beamers to make the presentation of that company’s donation.
The company is a leading metal roofing and siding manufacturer of products for residential, commercial and agricultural sectors.
Also on hand to make a $1,500 donation was Rob Maguire of Terrastar Building Products, the first Northern Ontario manufacturer of premier recyclable metal roofing and siding, trims, overhead doors, windows, closures cupolas and insulation. In presenting the cheque Mr. Maguire said, “We appreciate the importance of accessibility and mobility and as such, we are delighted to have the privilege to provide some support for this important initiative. We offer CLM all the best.”
Mr. Kenney welcomed the donations, saying, “On behalf of CLM I am very grateful for these contributions as we are in need of a wheelchair accessible vehicle. These donations will definitely help quite a bit for the individual and will enhance lives. And future fundraisers and donations will help to allow us to purchase a new vehicle in the near future. It will impact individuals in a positive way.”
