Earth week is here at MSS! The SHARE/Go Green committee has arranged a daily activity to help raise awareness about environmental stewardship. Here is the week’s itinerary:

Tuesday, April 22 is Community Clean-Up Day: Classes are invited to sign up and help tidy the school ground.

Wednesday, April 23 is Vegetarian Day and Tea Day: Plant-based eating can help reduce an individual’s carbon footprint! There will also be tea served in the cafeteria for participants.

Thursday is Eco-Clothing Day: Participants are encouraged to wear vintage, recycled, or upcycled clothing to support sustainable fashion.

Friday is Wild Robot Ticket Giveaway: Students who took part in Earth Week activities will have a chance to win tickets to see The Wild Robot movie buyout happening within the next couple weeks.

MSS’s Tennis team is starting back up! Students interested in joining one of the last sports teams of the year are asked to grab their rackets and get in contact with Mr. Theijsmeijer!

Nominations for the Yearbook Hall of Fame are now being accepted. Students can nominate others for a variety of fun categories through the Google Form found in the Guidance Classroom. Voting is open all week. Final selections will be featured in this year’s yearbook.

From winning banners to eco-friendly fun, this week was filled with Mustang spirit at MSS! That’s all for this week. Until next time, go Mustangs, go!
