CLARENCE RICHARD SHAWANDA “ICH”

Clarence Richard Shawanda “Ich”, a resident of Sheguiandah, died peacefully at 11211 Highway 6, on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the age of 62. Born on July 21, 1952 at Little Current, Manitoulin to Rita Fineday Kitchikeg (predeceased) and Fred Fineday (predeceased). Loving father of Jeffery Aguonie (Gail), Jason Aguonie (Michelle), Rebecca Romero (Jeremiah), Christian Shawanda, Brandon Shawanda (Tess), Ocean Shawanda (Nevada), Cheyenne Roy, Courtney Shawanda (William), Dakota Shawanda (Cathleen), Waubnung Shawanda and Lance Shawanda. Proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren. Survived by his siblings, May Shawanda (predeceased), Lorraine Shawanda (Charles Manitowabi predeceased), Dorothy (predeceased), Pearl Waindubence (Gordon), Doreen Trudeau (Raymond Comeau), Cynthia Trudeau (Raymond). Survived by many godchildren. Will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends gathered at 11211 Highway 6 on Thursday, June 25, 2015 starting at 10 am and moved to the Sheguiandah Community Centre on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10 am. Funeral Services were held at the Sheguiandah Community Centre at 11 am on Saturday, June 27, 2015 with Father Henk van Meijel officiating. Burial at Sheguiandah First Nation Cemetery.
