MINDEMOYA—Manitoulin Family Resources is announcing the launch of a new fundraising initiative for its Help Centre building fund: a Christmas treasures craft show this Saturday, November 23.
The Christmas craft show, to be held at the Mindemoya Missionary Church, will have over 15 vendors on offer and, just like the Help Centre, will be completely volunteer run, explained Help Centre project manager Nancy McDermid.
Santa Claus has also circled this date on his calendar and will be making a special appearance for the kiddies from 11 am until 1 pm, so be sure to bring your list of Christmas wishes for him.
“The admission is free, but food donations for the Help Centre would be welcome,” Ms. McDermid said, noting that there will be coffee and muffins available.
“All the money raised will go toward the Help Centre building fund,” she added, noting that so far over $180,000 has been raised with quite a bit more to go before they reach their goal. It is hoped, she said, that ground can be broken for the new food bank building next spring.
The inaugural MFR Christmas treasures craft sale is this Saturday, November 23 at the Mindemoya Missionary Church from 9 am until 3 pm.
