WEBBWOOD–The Ontario Provincial Police were called to a residence in Webbwood at approximately 9 am this morning in response to a report that a dog had bitten a child.
Investigation revealed that a two-year-old girl was in a room with a small dog when the animal became agitated and bit the child several times. She was taken to hospital in Espanola and is being treated for facial injuries. The dog has been quarantined.
The Sudbury Health Unit and the Children’s Aid Society have been notified and are investigating the incident.
