‘Culture in tourism sells’
To the Expositor:
Regarding the letter, ‘Not everyone is a fan of the new look Chi-Cheemaun’, Mr. Lewis, as anyone else, is entitled to his opinion. However, seeing his singling out of Native Canadians and Chinese tourists, I would have to say that it’s not the branding and the decal job on the ferry that is totally repulsive and very racist.
As far as a quiet crossing on the ferry, with about four interior lounge areas and the great out of doors, I have never noticed an issue in this regard. Culture in tourism sells today, regardless of how the reader feels.
Thank you.
