PARRY SOUND – On March 12, 2014 at approximately 4:30 a.m. a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting stationary radar on Highway 400 in McDougall Township. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and a traffic stop was conducted. As a result of an investigation, it was determined that the driver was breaching conditions set upon him from a previous criminal code conviction. Upon searching the vehicle, Marijuana was located and seized.
Kristopher LACHANCE, 36 years of age from Chelmsford, was charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, and one count of Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was held for bail court to answer to his charges.
