CAROL HAZEL CLARKE (AKA “OPERATOR”)

Carol Hazel Clarke (aka “Operator”), a resident of Wikwemikong, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the age of 53. Beloved wife of John Clarke and first husband Isaac Aloysius Fox (predeceased). Mother to Peter “Archie” (Winnie), and Mary Jane (Ross), and grandchildren Dawson and Dakota. Dear daughter of William and Mary Jane Shawana (both predeceased). She will be missed by siblings Robert (predeceased) (Annie), Shirley, Adam (Donna), Violet (predeceased), Margaret, Arlene (predeceased) (Patrick), Lourda and Gail (Rick). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Hazel (aka “Operator”) loved playing bingo, writing poems/songs, listening to Country and Gospel music, and visiting family and friends. She loved calling family and friends many times throughout the day. This is where the nickname “Operator” came from. Hazel also enjoyed playing Bingo in her pastime. She shared that one day her number will be called and she would be going to claim her jackpot to that Big Bingo Caller in the sky. Family and friends may gather together to celebrate and remember Hazel’s life on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 3 pm at St. Ignatius Church in Buzwah. Funeral to take place Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11 am at St. Ignatius Church in Buzwah. Burial in Wikwemikong Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Island Funeral Home Little Current.
