Campbell’s ‘Labels for Education’ reinstated

To the Expositor:

I am very pleased to inform everyone that the Assiginack Public School Parent Council has agreed to reinstate the Campbell’s “Labels for Education” program for our school. Although all parents of students will get the collection data for eligible products (eg. Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farms, Prego, Habitant, V-8, etc.) those of us with no children at elementary school may not be aware of this ongoing project but may want to help us by saving their labels and/or lids.

Three of my grandchildren, Connor and Lane Phillips and Isabella Hughson, attend Assiginack Public School and have volunteered to help me collect, sort and count everything that is contributed under this program. Campbell’s aim is to help local schools earn points to redeem for valuable educational materials.

Over the summer we sorted and counted everything already collected and are anxiously awaiting any and all future contributions.

If you would like to help our school in this endeavour, labels may be given to any of our students or deposited at either Manitowaning Freshmart or Complete Automotive.

Unfortunately, labels from the United States are not eligible in Canada. If you have any questions or need more information, contact Val Phillips at 705-859-3753.

I promise to keep you informed of our progress.

Thank you for your support.
