On Thursday, April 12, eight students from Grades 7 and 8 travelled to Science North in Sudbury for the Math, Science and Technology Olympics. Before leaving for Science North, the teams got t-shirts that they had to decorate for this event. In the morning, students answered questions to test their knowledge and skills in math, science and technology. In the afternoon, students participated in a technological design challenge. It involved building a structure using materials such as straws and popsicle sticks. The structural design had to meet a certain set of criteria that was given.
