Dear Editor,
On Friday afternoon of July 22, my wife and I were preparing to go
boating in the North Channel.
We docked in Gore Bay Harbour close to the site of the aircraft mishap, and were able to watch its retrieval. Never have I witnessed such a smooth and well-coordinated effort!
To realize that these people were not trained in such an operation, and moreover had never worked together as a group, is truly amazing.
I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it!
Congratulations to all those who participated in that wonderful effort.
