Bidding adieu to Denovan’s Garage in Providence Bay

0

To the Expositor:

I noted the advertisement in the paper last week announcing the closing of Denovan’s Garage in Providence Bay after 46 years of business. Sandy and Elaine Denovan both took a chance and moved from Toronto to Manitoulin. I and many others are glad they did.

Both of the Denovan’s have been an important part of our community ever since. In return, I have been a loyal customer of Denovan’s Garage for 33 years; others even longer than me. The Denovan’s contribution and commitment to their community has been felt and appreciated.

Therefore the Providence Bay Coffee Club will be holding its next Pancake Breakfast at the Providence Bay Curling Club in honour of Elaine and Sandy Denovan on Thursday April 4 from 7 am to 10 am. All are encouraged and welcome to attend, best wishes only. The price for breakfast is $7 and all profits will be donated to the junior curlers program run by the Providence Bay Curling Club.
