PROVIDENCE BAY—The Bev McDermid rink has won the Providence Bay Curling club annual ladies bonspiel, held this past weekend.
The Bev McDermid rink defeated the Shirley Dewar rink in the final of the first event. The Bev McDermid rink also included her daughters Pamela McDermid and Angela Johnston, along with Amanda Bennett. The Shirley Dewar rink included Cathy Carriere, Brenda Webber and Kathy James.
In the second event, the Heather Gain rink defeated the Deanna Smith rink in the final, while the third event saw the Kyra Lanktree rink defeat the Gaynor Orford rink in the final.
A total of 14 rinks took part in the bonspiel.
