In loving memory of Arthur Paul Shawanda who died peacefully at Manitoulin Health Centre on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the age of 48. He is survived by parents Doris and Gilbert Blais and siblings Wilfred (Lorna), Grace, Hilda (Keith), step-siblings Wilfrid (Ruth), Maryanne (Eddie), Floyd (Annabelle), Sally (Syd), Tim (Terri). Predeceased by step-brothers Clarence and Gilbert Jr. Remembered by goddaughter Tiffany and godmother Pauline Andrews. He will be missed by the Shawanda and Blais families. Arthur was an uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. Arthur was a gentle soul, who was a kind, friendly, happy-go-lucky guy. Visitation was from 2 pm Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Whitefish River Community Centre. Funeral Mass was at 11 am on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. Gabriel Lalement Church, Birch Island.
