Armbury Event Services concert dinner success inspires encore

GORE BAY—A representative of Armbury Event Services says that with the very positive feedback they received from a concert dinner event they hosted this past Saturday in Gore Bay at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 514, they are planning to come  back.

“All in attendance had a fantastic time and enjoyed the meal and the live performance by Mike Trudell,” said Sandra Bradbury (Armstrong), who along with her husband Brian operate Armbury Event Services. “Due to the overwhelming positive response we will definitely plan to organize another event for the fall in Gore Bay.”

One of those in attendance at the event told the Recorder that singer Mike Trudell of Sudbury put on the best live performance she has seen live anywhere in quite a few years.

Another attendee told the Recorder the dinner was “absolutely terrific.”

Approximately 65 people attended the event. Ms. Bradbury noted that she had help in preparing and serving the meal from Cheryl Lauzon, Ashley Noble, and Julie Bernard (the latter who travelled eight hours to attend this event), “all of whom did an excellent job and I credit for the success of the dinner.”

The meal began with dinner rolls, followed by homemade hamburger veggie soup. Next, two salads were set at each table: Caesar and garden vegetable. The main course, homemade lasagna, was served and last but not least, dessert! Five cake options were offered: chocolate, vanilla, carrot, coffee crumb and the most popular…‘pina colada, my own creation,” explained Ms. Bradbury.

“Dinner was served from 7 pm until 9 pm while Mike Trudell of Sudbury delivered an outstanding acoustic performance,” said Ms. Bradbury.

A dance was held later to cap off the evening.

A draw was held during the evening with Scott McDougall winning a beautiful outdoor flower pot.

“My husband Brian and I operate Armbury Event Services,” said Ms. Bradbury. “I handle the catering, while Brian takes on the music side of things.” They do catering, DJ/Karaoke, event planning, website design and maintenance and more.
