Community Living Manitoulin announces with sorrow, the passing of a loved member of our community, Anthony (Tony) Felix Connelly. Tony passed away peacefully at the Mindemoya Health Centre on July 2, 2014. Tony was born on November 19, 1928 in Toronto, Ontario and lived for many years on Manitoulin Island in Mindemoya. Tony was a loved member of our community and had lived at Field House for many years with his friends, who he also considered his family. He recently had moved to Maple Terrace where he extended his group of friends. Tony was a man of few words but what he did say always mattered and he taught everyone the meaning of a genuine smile. He was greatly cared for by the many people who were a part of his life. Tony appreciated the small things in life; reading the paper, out for drives or a enjoying a coffee with a friend. He was a man who was well loved and respected by his peers and the community. Tony will be greatly missed and he would want us to remember to continue to respect, love and live our lives to our fullest potential. A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at the Missionary Church in Mindemoya on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:15 am followed by a fellowship luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Living Manitoulin building fund would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.culginfuneralhome.ca.
