Dear Bernadette,
We would like respond to your letter to the Manitoulin Expositor (‘We must remember a more peaceful, respectful time,’ May 11, Page 4). Please allow us to express our sincere sympathy in the loss of your son. We at Anishinaabemowin Gamig are disappointed with M’Chigeeng and the end result of your request.
Our teachings remind us to walk with respect and humility in all that we do and with that thought in mind, please accept this monetary donation of $500 from our fundraising efforts.
We ask that the Creator hold you close and ease your pain during this time of sorrow and grant you comfort as you look out towards tomorrow.
