Andrea Horwath signs makes it appear she is running here

To the Expositor:

If this letter is printed it will be less than a week to Election Day. I wish to share one more passing thought that to me is a sign, a hint, a premonition of who will be speaking, if at all, on our behalf in the North when the dust settles election eve.

From time eternal, I always remember at election time signs, posters and ads going up for the local person vying to represent our area. Two things these signs all had in common were: (1) the colours and names of the candidate were on the poster/sign/advertisement along the highways, in ditches on poles, in the papers etc; (2) the name of the candidate on that sign in the ditch, on the pole, in the ad was the one that would appear on the ballot come election time that they would like you to place your “X,” thus selecting that person as your choice.

For the first time ever, in our jurisdiction, it appears as if the leader of the NDP, Andrea Horvath, is running as our area representative! Her name is on many, not all, but many of the signs instead of, I believe it is, Mike Mantha who runs for the NDP of Ontario. I guess we know who is in charge or wears the pants in that family.

Again, please remember, governments are elected by those who do not vote.
