ALVA “LORRAINE” BILLARD
Alva “Lorraine” Billard, a resident of Sudbury, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the age of 86. Born to Netta Banfield (nee Knott) and Theodore Banfield in Burgeo, Newfoundland on July 14, 1929. Loving wife of Joshua Billard. Loved mother of Rodney (Sharon) Billard and Rhonda Billard (husband Roger predeceased). Proud Nan of Lisa (Chris), Derek (Chrissy), and Matthew (Melissa). Cherished great-grandmother of Connor, Reese, Cowan, Reegan, Parker, Paige, and Dani. Beloved sister to Audrey (Jack both predeceased), Marguerite (Don), Ruth (predeceased) (Eif), Ellie (Reg predeceased), Barbara (Paul), and Rod (Alice). Will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. As per Lorraine’s wishes, there will no visitation or funeral services. Lorraine and Josh enjoyed their retirement on the Island and were extremely happy in what they considered “God’s Country.” Donations to the Heart and Stroke would be greatly appreciated.
