Alexander Thomas “Nixon” Peltier


March 7, 1952 – November 10, 2013

In loving memory of Alexander Thomas “Nixon” Peltier who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre surrounded by his loving family. Nixon leaves behind his loving wife Genevieve, his sons Alex Junior (wife Katelin), Joshua (wife Jessica), Leroy (friend Wendy) and daughter Irene (friend Eli). His grandchildren who he loved dearly, Lexie, Courtney, Sladen, Brooke, Caleja, Liam, Leo, Isaiah, Taylor “Tay Tay”, Kieren, Brooke and Darsii. Beloved son of David O. and wife Irene (McDougall) (both predeceased). Cherished brother to Theresa (predeceased), Stan (wife Sharla), Helen (Dave), Dorothy (predeceased) (husband Henry Wemigwans), Sophie, Margaret (husband Gordie), Doris, Kenneth, James (friend Rose), Richard (wife Cheryl), Dominic (friend Yolanda), Ann Marie (predeceased), Robert “Friendly” (predeceased), June, Tim (wife Cheryl Ann). Survived by his aunt Georgina Fox of Wikwemikong. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alex was well known in his community. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved playing his guitar and singing with the “Rabbit Island Boys” and making gospel CDs.
