ALBERT EDWARD NOLAND November 16, 1929 – July 24, 2023 In loving memory of Albert Edward Noland who passed away at the Manitoulin Health Centre on Monday, July 24, 2023. Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lenna (Lanktree) and children Fred (Terri), Ken (Janis) and Barb (Gary Gilpin). Also survived by grandchildren Jamie Lee, Robyn (Chris), Charlene (Keith), Derek (Amelia) and Andrew; great-grandchildren Bryden, Maylee, Emery, Thea, Jack, Hank, Della and Lillian; sisters-in-law Marg Palmer and Helen Maki as well as many nieces and nephews. Special friend to Sharon and Mike Meeker. Predeceased by grandson Bryan, also brothers and sisters Herb (Gladys), Roy (Norma), Harry (Eunice), Lyle, Ethel (Willie) Ruttan, Rhoda (Russell) Carson, Bernice (Dennis) Carson, Ruth and Stella and in-laws Bob Palmer, Iva Moulton and Don Maki. Albert lived and farmed his whole life in Mills Township. Albert was dedicated to his community and was on many committees, organizations, and over the years, participated in the growth of the municipality. He looked forward to volunteering at many community events, especially the pancake breakfasts. Albert was a good neighbour, friend to many, and was well respected by all who knew him. His quiet wisdom was a value to many. Albert was proud of his family and their accomplishments. He instilled his integrity, moral values and work ethics, sometimes without saying anything at all. He will be greatly missed. A man well loved. A life well lived. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service was held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11am at Burpee Mills Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Burpee Mills Cemetery.
