Ailene Lempi Smith, a resident of Little Current, died peacefully at Manitoulin Centennial Manor on May 22, 2018 at the age of 93. Born to Senji Niemi and Matti Pakkala (both predeceased). Beloved wife of Aubrey Smith (predeceased). Loved mother of Phillip (Bev) Smith of Sault Ste., Marie Wayne (Peggy) Smith of Providence Bay, Darrell Smith of St. Catherines, Cheryl Smith of St. Catherines. Proud grandmother of Tyler, Adam, Jackie, Wade, Ashley, Lance, Amber. Cherished great-grandmother of 10. Sister of Viola, John, Bobby, Pauline, Mildred, Lillian, Teddy, Raymond, Beaulah, Vivian and Karina. Will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
