In loving memory of Lorna (Gilchrist) Tremblay, 66, who passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Lorna was born June 8, 1947 in Kimberly, BC to Alma (Stuart) and Duncan Gilchrist and raised in Ontario by Donalda (Beange) and Gilbert Gilchrist. She was the cherished wife of Roger Tremblay, and beloved mother of Lana (Micheal Lavergne) and Blair Tremblay. Her grandchildren Kyle Tremblay (Courtney Battison) and Ben Lapalme and step-grandchildren Michael Bouchard Lavergne and Eric Lavergne (Brittany) will remember her lessons forever. Dear sister of Barbara Desjardins and Carol (Carl Pocha, predeceased) of BC, Alma (Gerald Sarazin), Sarah (Mervin Bowerman) and David Gilchrist of Ontario. She was predeceased by sisters Sharon (Paul Brown) of Ontario and Donnie (Joseph Boudreau) of BC. She was a cherished sister-in-law to Robert Tremblay (Heather), Rita Crumb (Clarence), Marianne St. Martin (Raymond), Albert Tremblay (Linda), Paulette Thomas (Norm), Claire Hall (Ralph) and Richard Tremblay (Tina). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lorna was intelligent, capable and inquisitive. A genealogist, she was involved in a wide variety of creative endeavors and was a creative inspiration to all who knew her. She was a strong, independent woman who was an amazing friend and loved fiercely. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated. A memorial will be held for Lorna on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Steelworker’s Hall, 66 Brady Street, Sudbury.
