Louis Ronald James Deforge

In loving memory of Louis Ronald James Deforge of Tehkummah, who died at the Manitoulin Health Centre on the morning of Friday, June 14, 2013 at the age of 50. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Smeltzer) and proud father of his cherished son Jamie (Natalie). Dear son of Nora and Ron (predeceased) Deforge. Loved brother of Chris (Carolyn), John (Sue), Mike (Terry), Denise (Wade), Richard (Kristie), Noreen (Rolland), Rodney “Barney” (Lynette). Loved brother-in-law of Reg (Noella), Bill (Krys). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Louis was a true nurse, he loved providing care to others. He was very humourous, loving to laugh and make others laugh. He loved the outdoors, always looking forward to the next hunting or fishing adventure. He was a member of the Tehkummah Volunteer Fire Department and the Manitoulin Amateur Radio Club. Visitation was from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Corner Stone Church. Funeral Service was at 11 am on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Corner Stone Church, 440 Clover Valley Road, Manitowaning. Burial in Hilly Grove Cemetery. Donations to South Shore Fire Fighters Assocation, MHC Auxilary or Manitoulin Amateur Radio Club. Arrangements entrusted with Island Funeral Home, Little Current.
