WIIKWEMKOONG – As of July 9, three names for Wiikwemkoong ogimaa will remain on the ballot—incumbent Duke Peltier, Rose Shawanda and Terry Spanish (Otosquaiob). Mr. Peltier has held the position of chief since 2012.

The Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory election will take place on Saturday, August 15.
